Airtel Money Payment Gateway

This module enables businesses to receive payments via Airtel Money mobile money services. Supports direct mobile money payments, USSD payments, and mobile wallet integration. Ideal for merchants in Airtel Africa operating countries: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Madagascar, Malawi, Rwanda, Nigeria, Chad, Niger, Congo DRC, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, and Seychelles.

Use staging credentials for development and production credentials for live transactions.

Setup guidance

  1. Register at https://developers.airtel.africa/.
  2. Create an application and get your Client ID and Client Secret (PIN is not needed for collections).
  3. Set webhook endpoint to /api/webhook/airtelmoney in your Airtel app settings.
  4. Enter the phone number with or without country code - the system formats it automatically.
  5. Use staging first, then switch to production after successful validation.

Enter these values in the matching gateway settings. Obtain credentials from the provider and keep them private.

Choose staging for development, production for live transactions.
