PayPal Payment Gateway

This module enables businesses to receive payments via PayPal, supporting PayPal wallet, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers. Ideal for global merchants with worldwide payment acceptance. The signed CHECKOUT.ORDER.APPROVED webhook (verified against PayPal's own verify-webhook-signature API) is the source of truth - payments are never captured or credited from the browser return alone.

Setup guidance

  1. Create a webhook in the PayPal Developer Dashboard (Apps & Credentials -> your app -> Webhooks) pointing at the webhook URL below, subscribed to the CHECKOUT.ORDER.APPROVED event.
  2. Copy the webhook's Webhook ID into the Webhook ID field below - webhooks that fail PayPal's own signature verification are rejected, so payments will never be captured or credited without this.

Enter these values in the matching gateway settings. Obtain credentials from the provider and keep them private.
