How to Integrate TP-Link Omada with Paygrid ISP Billing
A preparation and validation checklist for hosted Omada Controller adoption, tenant sites, guest Wi-Fi and Paygrid hotspot billing.
Omada setup walkthrough
Watch the owner-provided Paygrid Omada integration tutorial. Follow the written setup steps and check prerequisites below against your hardware and controller before following along.
Before you start
Confirm the EAP model and firmware with support. Back up existing configuration and check whether the access point is already adopted elsewhere. The supported workflow uses the hosted Controller; do not reset a live EAP until you have a cutover plan.
Adopt into the correct site
Follow the Controller instructions supplied by onboarding. Check device identity and MAC address, adoption progress and the assigned tenant site. Resolve connectivity or adoption conflicts before configuring customer access.
Validate the guest network
Use the guest SSID and portal workflow created for that site. On a test device, confirm redirect, plan selection, payment or voucher activation, network access, expiry and accounting. An EAP online in the Controller does not prove the captive portal works.
Troubleshoot by stage
For missing redirects, check guest SSID and portal settings. For payment issues, inspect the payment status and gateway setup. For paid-but-offline access, check Controller authorization, EAP association and accounting. Record the failure stage without sharing credentials in public screenshots.

Troubleshoot the failed stage
| Symptom | Check | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| EAP cannot be adopted | Check existing Controller ownership, model/firmware and management connectivity. Confirm the intended tenant site. | Resolve ownership or reachability before retrying adoption; do not reset a live AP without a backup and cutover plan. |
| Guest has no portal redirect | Check association to the guest SSID, guest portal assignment and client DNS/HTTPS behavior. | Retry with one test client after correcting the site configuration. |
| Paid but no access | Check recorded payment, intended plan, Controller authorization and EAP association. Then inspect accounting. | Use payment status tools before requesting another payment; verify the access path independently. |
