Getting started

How do I set up a PayGrid workspace?

Configure company details, routers, plans, payment methods, portal settings, notifications, and staff access.

Work through these in order - each step depends on the one before it. Everything lives under Settings in the sidebar unless noted otherwise.

1. Company and currency

Settings → General holds your business name, contact details, and the billing currency. Set the currency before you create plans: it determines how prices, invoices, and receipts are displayed across the workspace.

2. Routers

Add each MikroTik under Network → Routers and complete the onboarding steps shown for the router. Then check its Status and Last Seen in Routers; see Router health and diagnostics if it does not report online.

3. Plans

Create the packages you sell under Finance → Plans, choosing the service type (Hotspot, PPPoE or Static), price, validity, and device limit for each. See Plans.

4. Payment methods

Enable the collection methods you accept under Settings → Payment Gateways and enter the credentials for each provider. See Payment gateways.

5. Hotspot portal

If you sell prepaid hotspot access, configure the captive portal under Settings → Portal and Settings → Hotspot Portal Settings - branding, login options, and the plans shown to walk-in customers. See Hotspot portal.

6. Notifications

Set up your SMS and messaging sender under Settings → Notification Setup, then review the wording of each message under Settings → Notification Templates. See Messaging and campaigns.

7. Staff and permissions

Create staff accounts under User Group → Users and grant each person only the areas they need. Restricted staff do not see menu items they cannot use.

8. Confirm the first customer end to end

Create a test subscriber under Customers → All Customers, take a payment, confirm an invoice is issued and the account activates, then confirm the router session comes up. That single pass exercises routers, plans, billing, and the portal at once.
