Customer records live under Customers. All Customers is the full list; Active Customers filters to accounts currently in service. Both show the same fields and actions.
Service types
Every customer has one service type, chosen at creation:
- Hotspot - prepaid access identified by an Access Code, which the customer enters on the captive portal.
- PPPoE - wired access with a username and password, tied to a NAS Router.
- Static - a fixed addressing service, also tied to a NAS Router and carrying a Static IP.
The service type is fixed once the customer exists.
Creating a customer
New customer opens a form in four parts:
- Service Type - type, status (Active, Banned, Suspended, Paused), and for PPPoE/Static the NAS Router the account terminates on.
- Customer Details - full name, phone, email, address.
- Credentials - the access code for Hotspot, or username, password, account number, and static IP for PPPoE/Static. Credentials can be left blank to auto-assign the next sequential value, and each field warns if the code is already in use.
- Package & Expiry - the package, the expiry, and the commercial toggles:
- Require Payment Before Activation (PPPoE/Static) raises a first invoice and keeps the account suspended until it is paid; turn it off for customers who already paid offline.
- Enable Installation Fee adds a one-off charge to the first invoice.
- Auto-apply Balance to Invoices settles new billing-cycle invoices automatically when the customer's balance covers them.
For Hotspot you pick a date and time; for PPPoE/Static a date only, and the account expires at the end of that day in the workspace's local time.
Staff with router permission can also attach a GPON ONU to the customer at creation or later - see Fiber and OLT.
