Hotspot and vouchers

How do I add a new hotspot plan?

Create or edit a prepaid internet plan, hotspot plan, or data bundle with its price, validity, speed, and device limit.

To add a new hotspot plan, prepaid internet plan, or data bundle, open Finance → Plans and choose Create Plan. To update a plan, open its existing row. Plans include Free Trial, Hotspot, PPPoE, Static, and Data Plans. The Service Type is set when creating a plan and cannot be changed when editing it.

Plan Basics

  • Service Type - choose the access type the plan serves. A plan is listed for its own service type.
  • Name and Price - the customer-facing label and the amount charged.
  • Enabled - turn off a plan to stop offering it for assignment.
  • Offer and Popular - marketing flags used to highlight the plan on the portal.

Access Time

Validity is a number plus a unit, and it sets how long a purchase lasts. Trial reset is the period after which a trial's data allowance is restored.

Network Profile

  • Speed Upload / Speed Download - the rate limit applied to the connection.
  • Device Limit - the maximum number of devices that may use one account at the same time.
  • FUP - fair-use policy: the data threshold, what happens when it is passed, whether usage is measured on download or both directions, and the throttled speeds.
  • Burst - allow short bursts above the normal rate, with the download/upload ceilings, thresholds, and burst time.

Data Plan Rules

For Data Plans, choose Bundle Pricing Method. A fixed bundle uses Data Limit and Data Unit; Custom Amount (Jiundie) uses its minimum and maximum amount and configured duration rates.

Portal Visibility And Schedule

  • Show on captive portal - whether walk-in hotspot customers can buy this plan.
  • Show on client portal - whether existing customers can see it in their own portal.
  • Has schedule - restrict the plan to certain days or hours.
